Sometimes called "Hometown Democracy", this amendment will require voter approval of ALL land use changes!!! Join two of our own CREW members, Anne Pollack, Mechanik Nuccio Hearne & Wester, and Julia Rettig, Tampa Bay Development, as they explain this Amendment and how it could adversely affect our industry and Florida’s economy!! Then Anne and Julia will be joined by the former Mayor of St. Pete Beach, Ward Friszowlowski, who will share the devastating effects a local Amendment 4 initiative had on his city. Since its adoption in 2006, the town has seen fewer jobs, higher taxes, and endless litigation –at the taxpayers’ expense. This presentation is very entertaining and alarming!!! They will keep you entertained while they educate you on this important issue. CREW Tampa Bay has also invited the following local organizations to hear this important topic: The Tampa Bay Builders Association, NAIOP, Clearwater Chamber, Tampa Chamber and The Board of Realtors of Tampa Bay.
